Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Focus Tycoon website and, at launch, the app. Please read them. By using either, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance

By joining the waitlist, visiting this site, or using the Focus Tycoon app, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Focus Tycoon is a focus, habit and screen-time app. Today the service is a pre-launch website where you can join a waitlist. At launch it will include mobile apps for iOS and Android. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as it develops.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the service. The app uses Sign in with Apple or Google to create your account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe others' rights while using the service;
  • probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its security;
  • reverse engineer the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
  • resell or commercially exploit the service without our permission.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Focus Tycoon offers an optional paid tier (“Focus Tycoon Pro”). When the app launches, subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not by deleting the app.
  • Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Payment is charged to your store account on confirmation.
  • Prices may vary by region and may change with notice as permitted by the stores.

6. Apple App Store EULA (Licensed Application)

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, the following acknowledgements apply, in addition to these Terms:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple grants you a license to use the app only on Apple-branded devices you own or control, per the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Any support requests should come to us.
  • To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, and any warranty claims are our responsibility.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing product-liability, third-party intellectual-property, or legal-compliance claims relating to the app.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

7. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the Focus Tycoon name and logo, and all related design and content are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the service. The focus, habit and session data you create is yours; you grant us only the permissions needed to operate the service for you.

8. Disclaimers

Focus Tycoon supports focus and healthy habits, but it is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or USD 50.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account (see the deletion page). We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise. (This placeholder will be finalised before launch.)

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
